thanks for the info because i have oily skin especially my t zone area and that ceptaphil lotion is good advice i use the cleanser every other day but will def try the lotion too, thanks. oh yeah the baking soda advice helped me out so much gurl!

if you go on the cetaphil website and do the survey you can get 5 dollars off a product…you can get the cleanser for 5.97 at walmart so only .97 afterwards!

i dnt wanna seem rude but whats the point of having melanin (brown pigment) isnt it supposed to naturally protect against the sun ihave relatives in hot countries who dont use it and their skin is fine

I would caution against using fade creams, especially ones that contain hydroquinone such as Ultra Glow. Hydroquinone can cause liver and kidney damage and many fade creams contain mercury.

I take protection from the sun very seriously. I’m african american and I just lost my sister to skin cancer Feb 2009. We should always put on protection from the sun. There is a growing number of people with dark skin getting skin cancer.

I use Cetaphil with baking soda too. I use the bar soap though & I use their moisturizer.

@seun0203: Yeah, but it doesn’t make them immune to getting skin cancer. Like NATURALJOOL said, everyone should protect their skin, no matter your shade. Darker people may be less likely to get sick, but they’re not immune to it.
