My journey to NATURAL HAIR bliss!!!!

I wanna do that. I said I was gonna stop perming my hair but then Justin Bieber was coming to Manhattan so I had to DO SOMETHING!!! DON’T JUDGE ME!!! lol, I still wanna do that. And keep it in braids.

Isn’t it something how the unnatural things we do to ourselves and put in our bodies (nasty, greasy food), and all the bad vibes and emotions threaten to hold us back or even destroy us as women. I get you, even though I’m Caucasian. I used to dye my hair and it took YEARS to stop myself and wake up! It’s all the same. You’re a beautiful lady, and you KNOW it! That’s real power and happiness, my dear. I love the videos that you make. They encourage and empower us. Much love!!

OMG, where to start? You inspire me so much. With the weight loss and the going back to your natural hair I’m so proud of you! You remind me of myself because we’re determined people. Your hair looks great. I love your curly texture. I can’t wait to see my results.I’m currently transitioning and hope to cut off the relaxed ends once my thick texture comes back. I’m scared but with all the inspiration why not? [btw I'm 14] So keep doing what you do best. =]

I feel as though there are times in which we need to break down in order to build ourselves up again. I really hope your new journey goes well. And I know how you feel, just keep your head up. If you need more support, watch different youtube videos and natural hair forum for the support. : )

I regret that I relaxed my hair last month. I went 7months without a perm and my hair grew sooo much, my only problem was I did not know which products to use on natural hair and I had no idea how to style it. I broke down and relaxed it myself-fell back into the wrap and now I regret it. My husband saw how much it had grown once it was straight again and he asked me “why would i put that crap back in my hair”, now my hair is breaking off and I am sick about it! Thats it for real this time!!!

me too!!!! i cut my from the roots i didnt wait to grow out my perm. i did it back in october 09 and i have a mini afro now and idk what to use to make it grow. my hair gets very dry and have to moisturize it at least twice a day! idk what to do with it!

I have a mixed race niece – she’s both white and black. I wish her mom would stop relaxing her hair. She’s only 8 and I’ve seen several youtubers talk about how bad relaxer is for your hair. Not only that, but I find the natural texture of african hair to be amazingly beautiful.
